Long awaited update.

Ever since I moved back to the States I ended up gaining back everything I had lost. :( I started to walk and run again, but I never really stuck with it. Especially once we moved into our new home. We had another family living with us, very chaotic. That was all in 2012. Towards the end of 2012 I was frustrated and just wanted to lose weight. I prayed for help. I asked God to help me lose weight. He answered my prayers for sure!!! It just wasn't in the way I thought it would have been. He answered my prayers through pregnancy. Yep in September of last year I became pregnant!! I was so bad sick for 7 months of it that I had lost roughly 50 pounds. After I had my baby girl, I had lost another 15 pounds all total I had lost 65 pounds!! I went from 330 to 265 in 10 months. Now I'm working on keeping all of that weight off and losing 65 more by this time next year! Here are some pictures of baby and momma!

The picture of Rick with Cora-Marie was taken minutes after I had her. I had a home birth and it was wonderful. The picture of me and baby is a few hours after I had her. The last picture she is a few days old. :)

I have one more picture I want to add to show you how much weight I have lost, but I have to wait as it's on my husbands phone and not mine.

I ran a mile in 16 min. My goal is to make that number a mile in 10 and go down from there. My ultimate goal is to run a 5k in 20 minutes!

5K run/walk in Nashville

This past Saturday I did a 5K. I ran most of it and ended up going 3.8 miles. I was with my sister so I kept going back to her and walking with her for a while then I would run again. We both jogged the last part of it together. We crossed the finish line together which was really awesome! Even though I'm not in Italy, in March I plan to run a 10K which is the base to base. I'm training for that now. I'm wanting to run more than walk and finish it in less than two hours. After that my goal is to do a half marathon!

Still here.

I'm back after a long break. I was busy with a move and trying to get all settled in. We aren't completely settled, but good enough for now. I haven't been exercise for a few months now. I'm feeling it too. Now I'm starting back up and getting signed up for walks/runs. I use mapmyrun.com to track my food and walks which will turn back into runs later on. Right now I'm getting ready for a 5K walk in Nashville. Another goal I'm going for is to do the "base to base" again. This time though I will be doing it State side either outside, or on a treadmill in a gym. Even though I'm not in Italy I can still run 7.2 miles. That will happen in March. I believe it's the middle of March when they do that. Right now my food isn't where it was before we move. I've been eating really bad these past few months. Now I'm looking forward to eating more salads and healthy foods. I'm looking forward to updating at least weekly!

Getting back in the game

Since my last post I've been able to lose the 10 pounds that I gained. I've just not gotten fully back into a routine.
We are in the middle of moving,but this week I've started walking again. I've been eating better as well. I'm going to stick with it, cause I know it works. I miss the wonderful feeling I had when I was exercising all the time!!  That's my motivation, getting my energy back and feeling good!!! I will post back here in a week or so to give you all an update!!

It's been to long

So I've been off the exercise kick for about a month now. The down side to that is I've gained about 10 pounds back. :( I'm getting back into my routine on Monday though! I'm hoping to lose at least 30 more pounds before we move back to the States. The plus side though is that my blood is still normal and my bp is down to 110/89. I'm less stressed! I'm really excited about that! Thank you everyone for your love and support!! Here's to a new Michelle! :)
